Product Sales Manager, Italy & Spain

Locations: Bologna or Padua (Home office)

Souriau-Sunbank is a global leader in highly engineered electrical interconnect solutions for harsh environments for customers in the aerospace, defense, industrial, energy, and transport industries. The business has a workforce of approximately 3,200 people and manufacturing facilities in France, the Dominican Republic, India, Morocco, Mexico, and the United States.

As PSM you will work with various structures within the group: Marketing (product managers), the Operations (Logistics, Pricing, Quality), Legal, Strategic Marketing, other Sales structures and CSR teams. You will be in relation with our clients (OEM/CEMs and Distributors), engaging the discussions with representatives at different levels. In this role you will be responsible for Northeast and Central Italy + Southern Spain.

Your main duties :

  • Locally implement ITD sales policy under proper guidance of the management.
  • Achieve perimeter direct bookings/billings objectives and Point of Sales (POS) objectives.
  • Manage his NBO pipeline and maximise the conversion into Wins (Value Creation) thus increasing the ITD footprint and market share at the right profitability level within the South Europe Regional Markets.
  • Visit/contact the customers and targets on a regular basis in accordance to the Sales & Mkg plan with measurable design-in wins and incremental sales results. Develop the customer base with targeted prospection in the nominated focus market segments.
  • Coordinate & develop actively local distribution actions in full respect of company rules and plans. Analyse his local POS (Distribution Point Of Sales) to set proper development & corrective actions.
  • Inform the company of the major facts in his sector: organisation charts, competition behaviour and prices, market trends, new programs and business opportunities.
  • Propose where and when appropriate LTAs for improved business development (NDAs, Supply contracts, logistic agreements, ...) in coordination with management & HQ Legal Dpt.
  • Actively involved in the pricing strategy for his quotes (with CSR teams & BU), follow-up all offers and report status information to Management. Subsequently update perimeter NBO-pipeline & CRM.
  • Make and submit forecasts (3M rolling & FY Landing) and activity reports (Weekly) according to the established requirements and agenda.
  • Coordinate with other sales staff that are working within the market segments, and fully support transverse and global sales objectives.
  • Help Customer Credit Department, if required, for the recovery of possible over-dues and solving of locked situations of customer accounts.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Proven 7 years experience of and real aptitude for products and markets with a high technical content (components, Emech,....)
  • B2B sales experience gained in that sphere of activity or within an industrial enterprise or a specialised Distributor, possibly in diversified harsh environment application segments.
  • Previous experience in a similar mission (4/5 years minimum) including dual channel market approach
  • Experience in Multi-culture and multi-sites organisation would be an advantage
  • Ability to listen, understand a situation/environment and recommend and communicate solutions
  • High negotiation and organisational skills
  • An enquiring disposition, curiosity and pragmatism
  • Ability to analyse and summarise information
  • English in addition to Italian. French would be a plus.
  • Familiarity with MS Office and similar business tools (CRM like)
  • Ability to travel according to local and company rules
  • Valid driving licence required
