We are looking for a Director, Pricing and Licensing to join our products team, reporting to our Executive Vice President, Products & Corporate Development. In this role, you lead the development and execution of the company’s global pricing strategy across customer segments, products and services, and geographies. You will define, launch, and drive strategic and operational initiatives around pricing and packaging to support the company’s ARR growth objectives. You will play a critical role in transforming the company’s business and operating model into Software Subscription and SaaS. You will develop innovative pricing models that accelerate customers’ engagement with and adoption of the company’s products and services (trial, purchase, adoption, cross-sell, up-sell, and renewals).

You’re the ideal candidate if you have led pricing teams and driven various software and SaaS pricing projects that span new product pricing and licensing, services pricing, channel pricing, SaaS pricing, and margin. You should have demonstrable experience in leading cross-functional teams to develop and operationalize new pricing.

What you’ll do:

  • Analyze, design, and implement consistent global pricing strategy and policies for SaaS, software, hardware, and support offerings
  • Drive critical pricing initiatives working with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Present to and secure buy-in from C-Level executives on pricing strategies and pricing models
  • Led and managed direct and indirect pricing analysts and pricing administrators
  • Work together with product management on individual product-line pricing initiatives
  • Work closely and collaboratively across functions to develop best practices for software licensing, entitlement, and pricing policy
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in developing new quantitative and qualitative pricing guidelines using statistical techniques
  • Analyze and maintain a knowledge base on industry and competitor pricing and licensing strategies
  • Monitor metrics (discount trends, win-loss rates, etc.) as well as market trends to evolve the pricing model
  • Codify a set of best practices and processes that can be used to drive ongoing pricing improvement

What you’ll bring:

  • 10+ years of work experience in the enterprise networking or security industry
  • 5+ years of experience in pricing and licensing strategy and management across a variety of technology delivery and consumption models
  • Significant experience working with international customers or in international markets
  • Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to independently create, validate, present, and implement ideas
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, or business is required; MBA preferred
