About the Team Fanatics Collectibles is a new company working at the intersection of collectibles and technology. Backed by some of the best investors, sports properties and operators in the world, we are integrating with Fanatics’ global digital sports platform – which includes 900 sports relationships and more than 90 million reachable fans - to reimagine the collectibles business for the 21st century. Provide support for general accounting and financial reporting activities to ensure accurate and timely compliance with all internal & external reporting requirements for the Fanatics Collectibles operating company. This role will require a strong accounting background and a passion for strengthening the team and fostering collaboration, learning and growth. To be successful in this job, you must be an experienced, collaborative accounting professional with the background and interpersonal skills sufficient to function successfully in a growth-enabling and challenging position. He or she must have the ability to embrace and assume “ownership” of various processes and reports, implementing structure and enhancing maturity. Attention to detail, superior organizational and project management skills, and exceptional communication skills are important.

Responsibilities

• This position will provide accounting and consolidation support for Fanatics Collectibles; specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Assist in monthly accounting processes and internal reporting function, including preparation of monthly journal entries and monthly/quarterly analytics, and with a particular emphasis on intercompany transactional, consolidation, reconciliation, and elimination activities
• Acquire a deep understanding of the business processes related to assigned general ledger accounts, including transaction flow
• Drive operational efficiencies and the maintenance of internal controls, department policies and procedures, and key balance sheet reconciliations
• Perform duties in compliance with GAAP, company and department policies and procedures, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
• Prepare ad hoc financial reporting requests, other analyses and special projects requested by management
• Assist Controller on special projects dealing with accounting and financial reporting, including a special focus on intercompany consolidation
• Help foster a culture of continuous improvement mind-set, drive change within the department
• Assist in supporting compliance with GAAP and implementation of new standards
• Assist in supporting an efficient, clean, and successful audit

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 3+ years of accounting experience; consolidation experience preferred
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and stringent deadlines within a fast-paced environment is a must
• Ability to organize and prioritize
• Must have strong analytical skills and logical prowess
• Must have excellent communication skills – verbal and written
• Ability to effectively work with multiple departments
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, and experience with ERPs is preferred; Oracle EBS experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail is a must

The salary range for this position is $90,000- $110,000 which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
