Job Description

The Transportation Representative EU spends majority of time negotiating spot market commitments with carriers/customers including prospecting, cold calling, qualifying, and closing deals.

This role is responsible for taking inbound calls based on interest generated from load-boards. Provides day to day event resolution, identifies issues, seeks input from others to help determine the best course of action, and implements solutions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and grow relationships with carrier accounts including conducting account reviews and identifying opportunities for additional collaboration
• Conduct calls with carriers to determine carrier availability and negotiate transportation rates
• Research new carriers in the marketplace, generate leads, and qualify new carrier relationships
• Ensure that specific customer load requirements are met on committed and/or ad-hoc shipments
• Develop supply chain solutions in order to effectively support our customer go-to-market strategy
• Resolve problems, including identifying issues, thinking critically, seeking input to determine the best course of action, and implementing solutions

QUALIFICATIONS

• +2 years of experience in similar positions
• Experience in road and international transportation areas will be an advantage
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to build strong relationships
• Strong ability to persuade, motivate, negotiate, and influence others
• Ability to thrive under deadlines and work in a dynamic environment, while also delivering independent results
• Analytical & problem-solving skills
• Entrepreneurial character
• Fluent Czech language will be a huge plus
