Job Description

The Financial Shared Service (FSS) organization provides a consistent interface to the business and integrated management of services regardless of traditional functional boundaries. The AP role requires a variety of clerical accounting functions such as coding and entering A/P and PO invoices into local accounting systems, preparing accounts payable batches, calculating and verifying amounts, and posting transactions to accounts. The role typically requires a minimum of two to four years of accounting experience. In order to apply accounting principles and handle work that is analytical, evaluative, and advisory in nature and that requires an understanding of both basic accounting practices and procedures. Professionals are expected to have the ability to pay attention to detail and process a high volume of data. They are generally in daily communication with cross functional internal teams and third party suppliers.

Experienced AP processor, passionate about the role who understands the concepts and the process flow related to AP. Enjoy working within a team with the ability to prioritize tasks and deliver them independently in an organized manner. You will Interact with different stakeholders in a remote / virtual and face-to-face environment to request or provide any information as required.

Role & Responsibilities
Reports to Acquisition Leader, Operations
Interface with external vendors
Interface with internal stakeholders and cross functional internal teams, BU and Finance.

Accounts Payable Deliverables

  • Validation of AP and T&E documents
  • Provide 3 rd party vendor with necessary accesses
  • Send invoices to 3 rd party vendor for processing
  • Ensuring compliance of AP and T&E processes
  • Payment processing – releasing AP, T&E and TAX payments-related payments from bank – ensuring invoices, taxes and employee’s expenses are paid on time
  • Audit Cisco employees’ expenses, following up with employees to resolve issues
  • Validation and approval of bank templates
  • Resolve cases raised by Cisco employees in Case Management tool
  • Update payment status in EMET tool
  • Solving AP and T&E related issues and errors
  • Consistent checking of all invoices & expenses before payment release
  • Act at POC for assigned countries
  • Participate and perform monthly auditing of invoices and T&E expenses, testing and monitoring of process controls

Required Experience

  • 2 years of AP managerial experience preferably processing accounts payable for a large organization or in shared service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative to work independently and with a virtual team
  • Presentation and collaboration skills
  • Stakeholder management
  • Reporting skills
  • Can be trusted to handle extremely confidential and sensitive material
  • Good communication skills in English
