Job Description

Visa’s Corporate IT (CIT) is in the midst of a major transformation journey to digitally transform ourselves through engineering and operational excellence. Visa’s Corporate IT (CIT) organization is made up of several teams that all work towards the same goal, To build, operate, and maintain the IT systems and infrastructure necessary to enable a highly connected and collaborative workforce that helps power Visa’s business. The Marketing, Sales, and Service Technologies team is looking for a Sr. Technical Product Manager to orchestrate our strategy, planning, and governance. This role will report to the Vice President of Marketing, Sales, and Service Technologies and will help operationalize the governance and drive progress of our strategic vision. Essential Functions : Key responsibilities include,

  • Manage the submission of high quality and informative updates to management:
    • Executive level dashboard reporting.
    • Executive Committee and Board of Director reporting.
    • Executive Project Watch Lists.
  • Workforce Planning – responsible for reporting, forecasting, and optimizing the global team of employees and contingent workforce within budget.
  • Governance & compliance
    • Audit management – managing the review, coordination, and resolution of all internal and external audit findings.
    • Security administration – ensure full compliance with Visa’s strict security requirements through reporting, education, and advocacy.
  • Support management in making critical decisions by providing regular executive level briefings focusing on key activities, risks, and financial standing on the overall portfolio. This includes development and management of:
    • Portfolio level dashboards and metrics.
    • Facilitating reviews of critical/marquee projects.
  • Provide portfolio level oversight which includes:
    • Work closely with the PMO teams, Technology, Planning & Business Operations (TPBO), Global Security and Finance teams to ensure compliance and partnership on the Project Management Methodology (PMM), Key Controls, audit, and funding processes.
    • Ensure the portfolio follows Visa's Project Management Methodology and Key Controls and that accurate and timely information is collected and reported regularly.
    • Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Client Services, Finance, TPBO, Tech stakeholders and CIT colleagues to navigate the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process.
  • Communications & employee engagement:
    • Manage vendor services, and contracts (including POs, invoices, accruals and receiving) and interface with finance and accounting, as needed. Create and manage complex spreadsheets (MS Excel) and complex presentations (MS PowerPoint) for regular town hall meetings and other departmental or site events.
    • Coordinate all-staff level activities including all-staff meetings, town halls, lunch-and-learns, newsletters, training, team building, social impact, employee recognition, and other employee engagement related activities.
    • Develop and manage action plans in response to employee surveys.
    • SharePoint site administration.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • Ability to set goals and objectives, prioritize, and manage situations to satisfactory completion. Highly organized with exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to multi-task while managing competing priorities.
  • Proven experience developing business cases and managing departmental budgets. Strong financial acumen, great quantitative skills, and experience with taking raw data and drawing actionable insights from it. Manage vendor relationships, services, and contracts (including POs, invoices, accruals and receiving) and interface with finance and accounting, as needed. Extensive experience with managing complex spreadsheets (MS Excel) and complex presentations (MS PowerPoint). Prepare materials, including assisting with the creation of the presentation and other related materials.
  • Experience with and knowledge of project management principles and Agile development methodologies. Experience in diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory. Extensive experience in interacting with senior leaders and holding them accountable for deliverables and milestones.
  • Demonstrate good attention to details, ability to think analytically and independently. Self-motivated with the ability to exercise independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor.
  • Establish and maintain effective and cooperative professional business relationships with all levels of management, ability to coordinate activities within cross-divisional and cross-functional teams. Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and driving transparency. Manage departmental communications to internal stakeholders.
  • Candidate must have a high sense of ownership, a low ego, a can-do attitude, must be proactive and solution oriented, looking for ways to add value and assist the team. Intrinsically motivated, highly organized, and results oriented.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, in particular, demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels internally and externally.
  • Maintain and support the planning for Business Continuity.
  • Experience leading and driving large, global, transformational initiatives

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
