Vice President of Demand Generation and ABM you will be responsible for partnering with Sales to penetrate target accounts, generate a steadily increasing flow of qualified pipeline, and deliver the awareness and education air cover that Outreach reps need to help them close more deals in high value accounts. Reporting to the CMO, you will lead a 15 to 20-person team consisting of Digital Marketing, ABM, North America Field Marketing, EMEA Marketing, Corporate Events, and Marketing Technology and Operations. You will be accountable for global demand generation and ABM strategies, and for orchestrating the execution of digital, account-based, and field marketing programs and events to achieve your pipeline goals. Pipeline creation will be your ultimate measure of success. You are an innovative thinker who deeply understands the levers available to drive growth and knows how to partner across an organization to deliver results. Outreach employs a modern dual-funnel approach for pipeline creation: broad demand generation in the small and mid-sized business segment, and targeted account-based sales and marketing in the large enterprise segment. You will innovate the blueprint, frameworks, and plans for both Demand Gen and ABM. You will lead your team to partner with Sales and Product Marketing to map and deliver programs across customer journeys that land the right messages on our target audiences at the right time, with the result of pulling those persona into the right buyer experiences. You will use ABM technology to act on buyer intent signals, identify when accounts first initiate buying cycles, and run ABM plays to convert the signals into opportunities. You will partner with Sales Development and Sales to optimize the conversion rate of qualified accounts and leads into winnable deals for our Sales organization. This requires having curiosity about our target persona and why they engage with us, using data-driven processes to optimize conversion and improve our results. You are an attractor and cultivator of talent, and build a culture of performance. You are able to balance short, mid, and longer term goals to build an engine for pipeline growth that serves the business today and lays the foundation for future success and scale.
Location: Open to remote in the United States, with ability to travel to Outreach's HQ in Seattle, WA
Your Daily Adventures Will Include:
- Provoking and capturing demand to generate pipeline using digital advertising, paid search, content marketing, and organic and paid social.
- Penetrating high value accounts with targeted ABM plays, 1:1 and 1:few programs, executive events, and rapid response to intent signals.
- Inspiring, educating, and engaging our target persona through flagship conferences, exclusive field events, trade shows, and scalable virtual experiences.
- Delivering customer expansion and cross-sell air cover programs and events to increase pipeline generation and expand the use of the Outreach platform within the customer base.
- Executing our EMEA marketing strategy to localize and run programs and events in priority regions to raise awareness, capture demand, and generate pipeline in target accounts.
- Evangelize our use of the Outreach platform for ABM and demand generation activities, sharing Outreach’s best practices to prospects, audiences, and media through your personal experience with the platform and Marketing’s proven successes.
Qualifications:
- 13+ years of marketing experience building and leading high-performance marketing teams in high-growth companies.
- Expertise in methods and practices for demand generation and account-based marketing.
- A track record of designing and using technologically-advanced and data-driven systems to consistently scale up the growth of category-leading businesses.
- Highly strategic yet hands-on, leads by example, able to balance long term strategy with short term results.
- Brings a systems-thinking approach to bear, troubleshoots and optimizes core activities, and can build frameworks that enable the team to scale effectively.
- A good partner to other marketing functions, sales, customer success, product engineering and finance.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills; an inspiring leader that can scale and manage a high-impact team.
