Description:The Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program is seeking an Associate Manager within the Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) organization. The EGSE team is responsible for the design and sustainment of all test equipment used to manufacture and sustain the FBM product. The group is leveraging Digital Transformation and business transformation techniques to drive efficiency and maximize value to our customer. We are seeking a change agent to join our team in transforming the way we design and sustain automated test equipment. The selected candidate will have direct responsibility for a set of test equipment and will lead a team of software and hardware engineers through troubleshooting of performance issues as well as proposing and executing design improvements. The position may require domestic travel to support Naval operations or any of the many manufacturing sites that utilize our support equipment. As the functional leader of the team, the candidate will be responsible for staffing projects, mentoring in technical problem solving. providing training, ensuring adherence to processes and procedures, and performance management.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of B.S. in a hardware or software engineering discipline from an accredited college
• Hardware and/or software development experience
• Strong technical background and project leadership experience in developing and/or sustaining military hardware
• Experience developing and managing a project budget and schedule, managing risks and opportunities, and managing to metrics
• Requirements validation and verification
• Proposal development experience including cost estimating
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring and team development
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Experience working Naval contracts
• Control Account Manager (CAM) certification and Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
