This position will represent Production Operations on the Energy Line of Business (LOB) staff supporting the Energy VP. In this role, the employee will support all program areas and associated production operations needs.
Within the Energy LOB the four program areas are Energy Storage (LI-Ion), Energy Storage (Flow Battery), Distributed Energy Solutions (DES) and Federal Energy Management Plan (FEMP). Each of these areas are unique and will require various levels of engagement from production operations. These tasks include but not limited to supporting proposals, manpower planning, budgeting, capital, manufacturing approaches, Make / Buy decisions, inventory management, facilities implementation product configuration management etc.
At the LOB Level this position will attend and participate in the Energy LOB Staff meeting, Support Monthly Energy Program reviews, provide required prod ops EPP and INAR support.
A critical portion of this role is to provide oversight, guidance, direction and support to the Flow Battery operations team by providing insight into commercial energy practices and helping to establish an Manufacturing Resource Planning system, tool accountability, maintenance of tools, Corrective Action Board, Engineering Change Management and command media processes. Review strategic plans for capital, Manufacturing overhead, product development investment budgets. Support proposals for customers, support business case updates, establish appropriate goals to ensure production facility in Andover MA successfully completes a Production Readiness Review with completed actions that apply to all functions.
Activities Specific to Flow Battery facility:
– Host staff meeting with flow battery prod ops personnel, review schedules for progress, Risk and opportunity management, Budget variance analysis, support various team meetings.
In addition to the Energy LOB Prod Ops Responsibility, this position will be responsible for the daily oversight and direction of the manufacturing programs currently being executed at the Andover site

• Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education with professional experience as noted below.
• Technical management experience and proven budget management experience
• Proven schedule development and implementation experience
• Basic understanding of manufacturing resource planning and engineering configuration management and control
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage change, identify issues, work with stakeholders to develop solutions
• Demonstrated ability as team player to build consensus among peers and build effective relationships with multiple customers
• Excellent customer and company interface background
• Outstanding communication skills
• Ability to make sound technical decisions
• Ability to make good decisions with limited data
• Management skills (planning, cost / schedule control, delegation, etc.)
• Travel required
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
