Description:Do you have a passion for talent and driving recruiting to the next level? How about building recruiting strategies to find the talent for Space Exploration? The Associate Manager, Talent Acquisition role supporting Lockheed Martin Space epitomizes this opportunity.
Space is not a place to go, it’s a place to do - and at Lockheed Martin Space, we do difficult. In other words, we design and build stuff and send it into space whether it’s to explore Mars or take samples of asteroids! We also like thinking beyond today and need our leaders to think the same. It IS rocket science! We take science fiction and make it science reality. Our Talent Acquisition (TA) team sources and recruits for our industry's top talent and our recruiting team is expanding.
We're looking for an accomplished professional ready to lead in a fast paced, compliance-driven environment. Expert client engagement and management is a must. You will push the boundaries of space by pushing the boundaries of talent acquisition. Depth of understanding on how, when and why to execute in a high demand, technically dominant environment is a must, along with the professional business acumen to navigate a sophisticated and complex environment.
Here are a few things you will do in this new role:
• Take the Talent Acquisition (TA) function within Lockheed Martin Space to a more progressive level – focusing on four key cornerstones:
• Technology Enabled Process Improvements
• Gold Standard Candidate Experience
• Recruiting of the Future
• Business Led & Data Driven insights
• Build and enhance a team of Recruiters that meet talent needs
• Collaborate across TA leadership with a OneLM approach solutioning the most complex challenges
• Bring innovative ideas to the table, lead with an experimental mindset, and be a change champion
This role is responsible for the following key deliverables:
• Responsible for ensuring a gold standard experience for candidates and customers
• Meet metrics goals and drive process improvements to achieve overall business
objectives
• Apply knowledge of TA and Business Area policies and procedures to effectively advise on the staffing process and best practices to increase efficiency and meet business needs
• Effectively allocate resources and requisition support to meet business demand and drive optimization
• Lead a team of Recruiters that move the function toward a “recruiting of the future model” - advising, talent market expertise, and strategic talent pipelining
• Develop strong relationships with leadership throughout the organization and help drive and influence results
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience as a corporate, agency, or executive search recruiter
• Demonstrated experience managing recruiting results in a deadline-driven, high-volume environment
• Demonstrated experience managing a high performing, fast-paced team
• Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing successful, creative, and forward-thinking recruitment strategies.
• Experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with diversity recruiting strategies
• Significant Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems (ATS) experience
• Ability to travel periodically throughout the year
Desired Skills:
• Experience developing employees through coaching and performance discussions
• Able to adapt, promote and champion change
• Knowledge of the Lockheed Martin organization structure, services and benefits as well as understanding of Lockheed Martin common job classifications and compensation philosophy
• Knowledge of applicable HR related federal regulations including EEO
• Expertise with Kenexa Recruiter BrassRing or other Applicant Tracking System
• Experience interpreting and reporting on recruiting metrics
• Proven communication skills which include the ability to speak, write and listen in a manner that clarifies issues, promotes closure, and delivers information in a clear and concise manner and facilitates decision making.
• Talent management skills related to:
- Hiring the right talent with positive impact to the team
- Ability to organize and integrate a virtual team
- Ability to develop high performers and be a supplier of talent to the HR organization
• Expertise with highly cleared national security recruiting
• Experience working as a recruiter within a federal contractor environment
