Job Description

As a Senior Accountant on CH Robinson’s Antwerp Accounting team, you will work together with 15 team members to run the finance department and you’ll be responsible for the GL accounting of 1 or more legal entities throughout Europe.

We are looking for a senior accountant that has already working experience. Preferably, you’ve been in contact with different aspects of an accounting department.

Responsibilities:

• GL Accounting of 1 or more entities, including:
  • Monthly posting of payroll, accruals, prepaids, depreciations in US GAAP
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Analytical review of results per branch
  • Help in reporting branch results
• Fiscal Compliance, including:
  • Preparation (and filing in some entities) of VAT and other tax declarations
  • Help during tax controls
• Year-end closings, including:
  • Preparation of local GAAP statutory files
  • Help during audit
  • Preparation (and filing in some entities) of local GAAP financial statements
• Contact with branches
• Contact with external parties (auditors, tax advisors, tax authorities)
• Ad hoc tasks

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's accountancy or Master's degree, or minimum 3 years of equivalent work experience
• Knowledge GL accounting
• Excellent knowledge of Excel
• Fiscal knowledge (basic)
• Professional knowledge of English, both written and spoken
• Knowledge of Oracle is a plus
• No 9-to-5 mentality
• Highly motivated and eager to learn
• Independent and well organized
• Team player
