Job Description
The E-Commerce Assistant Manager will work alongside the E-Commerce Manager in supporting a diverse portfolio of brands including Origins, Bobbi Brown, Aveda. In this role, E-Commerce Coordinator will be responsible for; ensuring E-Commerce sites (retailer.com and brand.com) run smoothly, ensuring launches, promo and campaigns are executed successfully, supporting in driving sales, new customer acquisition and growth in the Canadian Market, and monitoring Canadian trends and competition.
Brand Online
- Maintain the brand online presence and ensure as best in class execution: Perform daily site audits and QA to ensure activation accuracy and optimal user experience. Complete regular deeper site audits to ensure accuracy of product information, copy, content gaps/enhancements, promotions, and marketing effectiveness.
- Complete competitive research daily to help identify trends and report any key findings.
- In alignment with manager and Marketing team, collaborate with the retailer on advertising and promotional activities execution such as sampling, promo, campaign, or additional exposure.
- Liaise with Marketing and Creative team to support on creative creation and translation for online assets.
- Liaise with Account Planning team to ensure consistent follow-up on all order shipments.
- Support the completion and submission of Retailers custom templates required for new product set up/updates online (fill out copy form, re-name files, re-size or edit existing assets to adhere to vendor guidelines).
- Support Brand.ca execution (QA emails, update promo and site refreshes).
- Participate in regular touch bases and meetings to ensure any gaps and/or opportunities identified are executed accordingly.
- Help sustain strong partnerships with all key internal and external stakeholders to ensure any actionable changes are executed accordingly in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Manager, Marketing team and NA team to facilitate/plan programs for retailers.ca and brand.ca.
- Executive or collaborate with brand NA online teams on site content updates and new initiatives.
- Maintain trackers and calendars (content calendar, activation, launches...).
- Awareness of media activity related to all brands within the portfolio.
- Contribute to creating and maintaining trackers.
- Partner with Management to implement objectives for Canadian market.
- Track media activity related to all brands within the portfolio.
- Manage Retailers relationship.
- Partner with Management to build Estimates and Budget.
- Creating and maintaining a process for ROI tracking for online investment.
- Collaboratively with marketing, manage Samples for online.
ELC Online
- Help maintain competitive and historical trackers.
- Help study trends in ecommerce and digital media, research popular digital media platforms, study emerging digital media tools and observe how often those platforms and tools are used. Make recommendations of how to apply this knowledge to our Brands.
- Works closely and effectively with the cross functional team members, keeping members well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately.
- Collaborate with the team to create best in class template/reports and key moment best practice deck.
- Research the target audience that the business is attempting to reach and work with the Consumer Engagement team to offer plans on how ecommerce will work best for brands and their business model.
Support/Reporting
- Maintain calendars and trackers.
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly analytic reports that monitor website performance, sales and overall status of database, etc.
- Advocate best practices to ensure all programming and activations are executed optimally.
- Participate in regular touch bases and meetings to ensure any gaps and/or opportunities identified are executed accordingly.
- Advocate for streamlined processes that will help create efficiencies and improve workflow.
- Organize meetings, building agendas, and taking meeting minutes notes. Cascading important communications and follow ups to the stakeholders.
- Work with manager on creation of presentation for retailers and corporate meetings.
- Access GMW and DAM (International Marketing Website) to upload and share any assets needed.
- Issue Monthly Business review and ad hoc reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand new initiatives and share learnings and insights based on reports pulled.
- Advocate for streamlined processes that will help create efficiencies and improve workflow.
- Additional ad-hoc projects/duties as required from management.
- Other duties and projects as required.
Qualifications - Post-Secondary degree/diploma required (preferably in related fields such as Digital Marketing, Marketing etc).
- 3-5 years in similar role.
- Excellent analytical skills and report building.
- Thorough understanding of end-to-end E-Commerce process.
- Strong computer skills (Internet searches, Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint).
- Basics skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, Web Analytics, Google Analytics.
- Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills as well as creative problem-solving abilities.
- Strong Analytic reporting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines and strong follow up skills.
- Self-sufficient and ability to multi-task/ adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Similar work experience in the cosmetics industry and retail environment is a plus.
- Bilingual French is a plus.
