Our Point of Care Diagnostics Research & Development department is expanding its business and is looking for new talents in a hybrid function working closely with colleagues located on the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, The Netherlands and the production site in Mishawaka, IN, US – this function can be based in either location.

Join us now at Siemens Healthineers as Project Manager to work together with our multidisciplinary teams developing point-of-care medical diagnostics solutions.

Position Description:

The Project Manager is part of the global Point of Care (POC) R&D team responsible for coordinating developing activities for in vitro diagnostics (IVD) instruments, consumables, and accompanying eco-system products. The multidisciplinary development teams consists of R&D, Service, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Clinical and Regulatory Affairs.

The successful candidate will possess a strong track record of leading cross-functional development teams from product conception through launch in different geographical areas’. The candidate will in this role, regularly present project status to the program manager and management team. A strong background in (in vitro) medical device product development, IVD regulations would provide a good foundation for this high visibility position.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead global cross-functional (R&D, Customer service, marketing, supply chain & manufacturing, regulatory, clinical and quality) product development teams responsible for developing new assays on the Atellica VTLi platform
  • Manage and execute high complexity projects within budget and timelines and proactively manage potential deviations.
  • Create project and development plans and ensure execution of it
  • Oversee the creation and execution of verification and validation plans
  • Perform risk analysis to identify technical and business project risks and develop contingency measures
  • Prepare and maintain design history file
  • Clearly and concisely communicate project status throughout the organization
  • Ensure a smooth transition to manufacturing and the commercial support organization
  • Desired Education, Experience, and Knowledge/Skills:
  • BS/MS in Engineering or Science with a minimum of 10+ years’ work experience in a combination of technical product development roles
  • 5+ years’ work experience in the (in vitro) diagnostics or medical device industry preferred
  • Proven track record in Project Management and preferably having product development experience in the IVD/MD environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Operate flexibly in an environment with competing priorities
  • Able to lead and influence development and problem-solving teams
  • Knowledge of agile, lean and/or six sigma processes preferred
