Test Automation Engineer

Job Description

Create/Design project test plans to qualify the contents of project requirements and functional specifications. Focus is on automated testing. Proactively setup a test strategy and process. Design test cases listed in the project test plan. Improve test specifications by analyzing the root causes of technical issues, and develop testing solutions for those root causes. Create and apply new approaches as necessary to improve the productivity and efficiency of testing. Acquire customer inputs for project testing purposes. Technical lead in guiding junior test automation engineers.Work with minimal supervision on complex projects with latitude for independent judgment. Evaluate the functional and non-functional requirements for testability, and use suitable cases for automationDevelop/build a test automation strategy and focus specifically on maximizing reusability for regressionDesign, build and execute automated tests to validate product designIdentify regression testing needs and create and maintain Automated Regression testsProvide test execution reportsWork closely with architects to analyze the end-to-end scenarios, gather requirements, and design the test cases that needs to be automatedMaintain automated scripts utilizing the existing framework, adhering to coding standardsParticipate in troubleshooting and drive root cause analysis and resolutionPrerequisites:3-5 years of relevant experience in Test automation tool primarily using Java with Selenium preferably Engineering projectsDeep understanding in developing test scripts using tools like Selenium, TestNGRest Assured/Postman Hands-on experienceExperience with source control management tools (GitHub, Jenkins)Proven ability in building test strategy and test plansComfortable with frequent, incremental code testing and deploymentGood to have expertise in programming languages like JavaGood understanding of Agile development and Scrum practices along with experience in Cloud infrastructureExperience with reporting tool like TFSFamiliarity with load testing for multiple microservice componentsCreative approach towards automation testingIntuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time managementProven interpersonal and communications skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
