Are you interested in a hands-on marketing role which will allow you to lead cross-functional business and creative teams as you work together to produce tangible marketing outcomes? An opportunity to build strong relationships with key business leaders as you drive strategic marketing initiatives for Vanguard’s full service recordkeeping business which is dynamic and growing?

Job Description Summary:

This marketing strategist role will be aligned to our Full Service (FS) Recordkeeping offer, supporting the IIG business. You will work closely across Institutional marketing pods, Sales/Client teams, and IIG business teams with a focus on client retention and growth of our FS business. This important work will differentiate Vanguard’s full service recordkeeping in the market place, bringing our brand and offer to life, creating outcomes for Vanguard, our Plan Sponsor clients and their participants.
Leads the strategic vision and oversight for marketing initiatives related to Full Service products or service offerings within a specific business area, demonstrating a deep understanding of the product(s). Products/services may have enterprise-wide implications.

Job Description:

1. Leads product marketing management activities for multiple marketing products, or one strategic product.

2. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to create best practices that drive significant change to the client experience. Represents voice of IIG marketing in cross-functional projects and responsible for fostering strong relationships with IIG leaders.

3. Coaches product teams towards best practices and learnings. Ensures delivery of messaging, communication, and customer outreach as necessary.

4. Partners with stakeholders to resolve production and implementation issues in a timely manner, and supports/drives escalations where required to enable rapid delivery.

5. Leads the planning, development and implementation of new products/services. Defines and analyzes markets (and competitive offers), developing detailed product features and requirements, and developing implementation plans.

6. Employs a variety of qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to continually improve the user experience.

7. Participates in and provides recommendations for ongoing business planning and departmental prioritization activities.

8. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Graduate degree preferred.

• Minimum of five years related work experience. Two years of leading large cross-functional teams on major organizational projects preferred.

During the pandemic, we transitioned to a work from home model for the majority of our crew and we continue to interview, hire, and on-board future crew remotely.

When our Crew return to the office, many will work in our hybrid model. A smaller proportion of our crew will operate in the Work from Home work model (for example, field sales crew); or in the Work from Office model (for example, portfolio managers).
