Job Description

Description:This is an International Accounting position within the Global Financial Services (GFS) Global Accounting organization in Lakeland, FL. The team is responsible for US and international financial and tax reporting for numerous Lockheed Martin entities, as well as providing support for expats on international assignment.
This position supports the master data role within the international accounting team as well as month-end close processes to include general ledger, journal entries, account reconciliations.
The team member in this role will be working in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. We are seeking an energetic individual with strong communication, focus on customer service, and effective time management skills to successfully handle multiple simultaneous tasks, assignments, priorities and deadlines.
Opportunities within this position may include but are not limited to:
- Master data maintenance on the SAP CES international ledgers, such as creation and maintenance of projects/charge numbers/sales orders, governance and compliance, and data analysis and reporting
- Accounting, financial reporting and analysis for legal entities
- Month-end close
- Audit support
- Focus on process improvements, automation, process documentation
Basic Qualifications:
- Basic experience applying finance concepts and accounting principles, through related college coursework, professional training, and/or work experience
- Familiar with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize to meet expectations and achieve deadlines, effective time management
Desired Skills:
- SAP ERP (Systems, Applications & Products Enterprise Resource Planning) software experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
- Quick learner
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook
