Job Description

The Global Sales Strategy and Acceleration team is a world class sales engine responsible for driving incremental pipeline and bookings on behalf of Visa. Senior Manager, Global Sales Acceleration will design, develop and deploy repeatable and scalable sales acceleration initiatives (i.e., Sales Plays) to grow global sales bookings at an accelerated pace. This person is responsible for the end-to-end Sales Acceleration lifecycle, as well as the efficacy of the performance metrics, standard methodologies, and “wins” tied to Sales Programs and Plays for Visa’s Value Added Services business units. This includes being directly responsible for the development, delivery, processes, governance, and tools associated with Sales Plays.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Issuing Solutions, the Senior Manager will work in close collaboration with partners across various functions including Sales, Marketing, Enablement, Operations, Business Intelligence and Product to drive sales performance. The ideal candidate will be passionate about being an integral part of evolving Visa’s Sales Acceleration strategy, committed to ensuring our global teams have access to world class sales motions and will lead the development and management of a Sales Acceleration Center of Excellence. Deep understanding of sales methodology and experience developing and owning sales plays is a necessity. With direct oversight over cross-functional teams in the continued development and refinement of sales plays, experience partnering with and inspiring sales teams at the Regional Leader, functional leader and VP level is a requirement of the role. Knowledge of the payments industry is a strong preference for the ideal candidate. With a strong bias for action, our target candidate should be a highly effective program leader and will have a proven track record of leading sales programs and motions that have delivered tangible impact to sales pipeline, booking and revenue targets in fast-paced environments with demanding timelines.

The Global Sales Acceleration function combines the competencies of sales strategy, performance management, enablement and propensity relevance and program management. A strong communicator with strong ability to apply analytical reasoning, creativity, and sound judgment is a necessity. You should be comfortable challenging the status-quo in a sensitive, efficient, and constructive manner. Essential Duties

  • Champion, create and evolve sales acceleration motions and programs for the Value Added Services organization
  • Lead the development, ongoing management, and champion the Sales Acceleration Center of Excellence
  • Measure and report on the progress of sales acceleration initiatives (i.e., sales plays)
  • Work cross-functionally with leaders in Sales, Marketing, Enablement, Product and Operations teams to develop, manage sales plays and ensure sales programs and solution campaigns are efficiently packaged, communicated and delivered to our joint sales teams and deployed in market
  • Leverage data to validate opportunities, report on progress, and adjust course accordingly
  • Document and create new avenues to celebrate and share the good news on strategic acceleration “wins” across our business units
  • Facilitate and actively promote sharing of best practices and influence adoption across regions
  • Contribute to building a culture of collaboration and mutual accountability across Visa’s Value Added services organization and beyond

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

The preferred locations are: Ashburn, VA, Austin, TX, Atlanta, GA, Lehi, UT, Bellevue, WA, Foster City, CA and San Francisco, CA.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• Expert level in program development and program management
• Creative self-starter with a bias toward action and proven track record at developing and leading global large enterprise scale programs
• Significant client-facing experience and program leadership
• Excellent listening and communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Aptitude to think creatively, and champion sales strategy
• Experience in leading cross-functional initiatives and facilitating collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, Technology and Customer Service organizations
• Ability to communicate in a simple and efficient way across multiple audiences
• Strong team player, self-motivated and the ability to work independently at coordinating across functional activities, obtain buy-in and elevate issues at critical junctures appropriately
• Ability to operate in a highly matrixed environment
• Proven decision-making/implementation success linking business strategies to business outcomes
• Leads by example, creating a sense of energy, ownership, and personal commitment to the work
• Highly trusted individual who maintains and expects high standards for self and team - Analyzes available data and prioritizes decisions that positively impact Visa’s business and teams

Additional Information

COLORADO APPLICANTS ONLY - The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Colorado is 179,800 to 233,800 USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for annual bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position is eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
