Our Customer Services business is the arm for our Rolling Stock products (Light Rail Vehicles and Main Transit Lines), covering customer needs throughout North America. Customer Services is searching for a Product Manager to lead its propulsion and power systems parts services, referred to as the UTEX program.

As the product manager for the UTEX program, you will expand and improve the current service vision for these products and develop an ongoing service improvement strategy and product sales growth. The product manager will analyze the market and competitive conditions to strike a clear path toward the business value of our product and move the offering to the next level of growth and service.

This position requires multi-functional leadership. As the UTEX product manager, you will work with various groups within the organization and collaborate with customers to meet their needs and expectations. You must possess communication skills to listen and articulate to a broad spectrum of individuals in different subject areas.

The responsibilities of the UTEX product manager include developing product services through market research. You will then use that research to improve, develop and refine the UTEX program and service offerings. Additionally, you will change and grow the current portfolio to adapt to changing market conditions. Bring your decision-making skills and join our team!

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Manage the products, solutions, and services assigned with full responsibility for the results, including definition of customer and market requirements, growth & profit strategies, business planning, and road mapping.
  • Constantly observe the market, including internal and external factors, as well as relevant competitors' product(s), solution(s), and service(s) to adjust product strategies and paths forward. Know customer needs through research and market data.
  • Establish, develop, and manage or synchronize a relevant multi-functional team necessary to support the business goals of the product and services.
  • Drive the business performance of the product(s), solution(s), and service(s) assigned over the whole product lifecycle in cooperation with all partners over the entire process chain (PLM / SCM / CRM).
  • Contribute to activities to continuously improve product lifecycle management.
  • Create long- and short-term product sales forecasts and analyses for management. Market products with sales teams and evaluate sales calls.
  • Determine product pricing based on market research, production costs, and anticipated demand
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Technical field required. A Master's degree in a business subject area is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in product management
  • Heavy industry or computer hardware experience is a plus.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Microsoft Office proficient. Salesforce and SAP experience a plus
