Job Description
- You develop and define the Electromechanical Systems Architecture of Power Supply Products that fulfills the Voice of the Customer as well as the Voice of the Business. You collaborate with OEM Electrical Architects to define functions and requirements needed focusing on the Hardware and Mechanical subdomains. Besides you demonstrate the proper integration and fulfillment of such functions in the development of the product.
- You define from vehicle system down to ECU "what is needed" and "what is sufficient" by challenging status quo and managing risk.
- Furthermore you consider functional performance of a product but also think about time to market, quality, profitability, and opportunities for re-use.
- With your expertise you lead the cooperation with Hardware and Mechanical Architects and a global team with Engineering locations in the United States, Germany, Hungary and Australia. Compiling and sharing lessons learned with main interfaces as well as having a Continuous Improvement mindset.
- But not only: You also evaluate Use Cases/Requirements in a systematic approach with ownership, implementation and application of proper Product Engineering tools and methods in Requirements Engineering with Robust Design (BES-PE or DFSS).
- Key is in the correct linking of functions and proper assessment of effects and failure modes on a real product.
Qualifications
- Education: completed university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or similar. Good to have Masters or PhD degree with focus in technical topics
- Personality and Working Practice: outgoing personality, able to bring clarity and move forward in a dynamic and ever evolving industry, capable of managing decisions and risks in a multicultural and diverse environment, Team leader and exceptional collaboration, able to focus on "getting the job done" and be an excellent Risk manager, work agile and proactively
- Experience and Knowledge: experience on electromechanical design of power electronics, Electronic Control Units, Thermal Engineering, PCBs, connectors. Experience on requirements, reliability, development, and production of multiple types of Electronic Control Units. Experience in technical coordination of a engineering team with global footprint
- Enthusiasm: resilient, flexible, and highly motivated
- Languages: fluent in Englisch and German
