Financial Analyst, Theatrical GFO-OTC

Financial Analyst to review and reconcile theatrical bookings for correct payments and application, box office submissions, contract terms and play time. Perform weekly audits to identify past due items, discrepancies and execute resolution. Financial liaison to exhibition, ComScore, CG OTC Cash/Billing, DEX Support and SPR Sales Distribution. Initiate KDM delivery and provide feedback for at-risk bookings.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Audit and reconcile theatrical bookings for approx 200+ owning circuits nationwide.
  • Analyze BOR data and payment application discrepancies.
  • Contact exhibitors for corrected BORs and/or payment allocation.
  • Research UFR and partial box office data vs flash and provide justification to finalize.
  • Identify problems with eBOR data feeds and resolve via ComScore/Maccs and DEX Support.
  • Assist CG OTC Billing with guidance on processing multiple format bookings.
  • Provide instruction to CG OTC Cash for deposits without vouchers via exhibitor confirmation.
  • Research missing and/or misapplied checks.
  • Review and email weekly audited statements as necessary.
  • Ensure advances & past due film rental is received prior to KDM releases.
  • Manage key delivery with Deluxe Film Services (time sensitive).
  • Notify sales department of account issues and film holds.
  • Manage and request journal entries to correct application or apply credits and advances.
  • Analyze terms discrepancies and initiate settlements via VP approval.
  • Contact exhibitors regarding returned checks and follow up for replacement.
  • Initiate refund process and review paperwork for accuracy prior to submission.
  • Prepare monthly 610 AR reviews and alert management of at-risk accounts.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

  • General Accounting and Accounts Receivable
  • Film Distribution

Skill In:

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Adobe Acrobat XI Pro
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Ability To:

  • Comfortable contacting exhibitors for advances & past due money on delinquent accounts.
  • Build relationships with exhibitors, film buyers and sales personnel.
  • Detail oriented, organized, and able to juggle multiple priorities.
