Description:Program Management Staff - Spectrum Systems Laboratory
Lockheed Martin Advanced Technology Labs Eagan, MN - St. Paul Metro Area
This assignment involves pursuit and execution of leading edge research and development programs related to modeling, simulation, design, testing, and/or embedded development related to electrical circuits to control photonic systems and advanced computing systems. Candidates will engage in small, focused development teams in order to create real world solutions by converting scientific first principles into innovative designs for applied technologies.

The Advanced Technology Laboratories (ATL) is a Lockheed Martin applied research and development center within the corporate Engineering and Technology function. Aligned with the Corporation's Chief Technology Officer, we work to advance scientific discovery and technology transition in human systems, robotics and autonomy, spectrum systems, data analytics and more!

What you'll do:
Are you inspired by technological advances and skilled at leading technical teams? As a member of SSL your day-to-day responsibilities vary based on the needs of our programs. We pride ourselves in the flexibility we give to our staff to pursue research and responsibilities that is of interest to them, and give opportunities for them to grow and learn about what others in the lab are doing. Based on our current needs, your skills and the skills you wish to acquire, you could be tasked with any of the following:
· Lead and/or support research projects to
innovate and provide new/novel solutions for novel problems
· Assist in the acquisition of new business by formulating modern day solutions to customer problems
· Develop and implement program plans and help drive team and program performance
· Monitor and manage program cost, schedule, and scope requirements
· Manage Stakeholder relationships, engagements, and buy-in
· Coordinate and oversee modeling and simulation to validate concepts and guide designs
· Coordinate and oversee electrical and/or software design efforts
· Coordinate and oversee lab testing and integration of high-performance, ruggedized components and systems
· Lead and participate in large-scale field tests where our systems are tested on the ground, at sea, and in the air on commercial or Military assets
Basic Qualifications:
* Experience as a team or project lead, program
manager
or Principal Investigator.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Prior experience in proposal writing.
* Ability to obtain a DoD clearance
Desired Skills:
* Active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
* Experience in an R&D environment.
* Prior experience in proposal writing for DoD Research and Development pursuits.
* Prior experience or exposure to mission requirements for DoD systems.
* Prior experience overseeing mechanical
design, electrical design, or software
development.
* Theoretical or practical experience with RF
applications such as Radar, Communications
and/or Electronic Warfare.
* Theoretical or practical experience with optics
and photonics.
