Position Overview:

Responsible for managing elements of the quality management system for the Satellites. Leads the implementation and continual improvement projects to improve Quality CONC metrics, maintains metric reporting, interfacing with critical warranty claim management and follow, , Works closely with site Operations Managers, ESSG quality, Manufacturing Engineering, OPEX and EHS. Seen as the subject matter expert for quality and oversees training related to Quality.

In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for the deployment of CDPA Division quality Initiatives, develops and manages quality improvement plans associated with those initiatives.
  • Identifies trends that drive cost of non-conformance (CONC), Flex Productivity related to variable costs tied to quality, DPPM/CONC/CQM/DMR reduction
  • Use structured problem solving (lean, CIF, 8D and/or Six Sigma) to reduce those trends seen in quality scorecard metrics
  • Issues timely metrics and scorecards reports to management to show trends, performance to plan and annual goals
  • Lead corrective and preventative actions around product warranty. Work with key customers, affected Satellite location related to key specific customer accounts.
  • Administer Quality training for the Satellites as needed
  • Represents the Satellites in New Product Launch (PROLaunch) projects as it relates to elements outlined in the ProLaunch activity matrix associated with quality
  • Learn and complying with all internal Satellite Quality standards and deploy improvement actions where poor performance is linked to not following these standards.
Qualifications

Required (Basic) qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum two (2) years of quality experience
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One+ (1+) year of a voluntary career break from your profession
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related problem-solving discipline
  • Some formal training and Knowledge of process improvement and structured problem solving
  • Certification in the American Society of Quality Control (ASQ) or other recognized body highly desirable
  • 5 years of quality experience
  • Multi-location experience, Experience working remote supporting other locations
  • Six Sigma Green Belt required, Blackbelt
  • Working knowledge of and experience with electrical distribution and control products
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/programs simultaneously
  • Proficient in MS Office toolset to include MS Project and Minitab
  • Ability to lead and influence change
