At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a hybrid position. You’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office, so you should live within commuting distance. Hybrid teams may work in-office as much as a few times a week or as little as once a month or quarter, as decided by leadership. The hiring manager can share more about what hybrid work might look like for this team in the future.

We are looking for a hard-working Software Developer to join our International Transformation team. The role will be part of a fast paced and diverse team responsible for numerous systems spread throughout the EMEA region. Key focuses will be availability, performance, and execution of tasks in support of our internal business partners.

What you'll get to do...

  • Execution against project roadmaps, project plans and delivery commitments
  • Run the day-to-day activities of the items assigned to you within an agile environment
  • Willing and able to dive into the code yourself, lead design sessions and drive outcomes
  • Be accountable for the code quality by performing code reviews and promoting and aligning with company engineering standard methodologies, such as TDD and CI/CD
  • Improve, measure, and adhere to overall software development processes
  • Join forces with other team members to execute daily tasks as well as larger project efforts
  • Collaborate with business partners to solve both large new features projects as well as daily, small product improvements
  • Supervise performance and uptime for critical services and systems that are the backbone to Finance and Accounting operations (Month and Quarter close activities)
  • Help drive architectural discussions for projects, as well as tackle issues end-to-end, with the team and across technical partners, providing resource and timeline estimates and supervise progress to work
  • Lead assigned work across multiple time zones, regions, and functions to ensure success
  • Implement multiple work efforts in parallel across different platforms and functions
  • Support knowledge transfer to all team members to ensure appropriate understanding of tasks and ability to provide backup support
  • Embracing agile methodologies to continuously release and deploy iterations of our services and testing code, e.g., writing functional and unit tests

Your experience should include...

  • A minimum of 5+ years professional software engineering experience, working on object-oriented software development
  • Be a motivated self-learner with relevant technical degree in Computer Science or experience in similar role or equivalent position within a fast-paced, highly multifaceted and changing environment
  • Demonstrate an understanding or experience of relevant tools\software - Web APIs, HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, MS ASP.NET, Python, AWS, MSSQL (and other relational database experience), Microsoft Office, Smart Sheets, Zoom
  • Have a strong understanding and keen curiosity about the latest software, applications, and technologies, with a willingness to take-on new challenges and engage with new technologies and practices
  • Provide strong quality experiences timely (within SLAs) and within budget for our internal customers across multiple functions and jurisdictions
  • Able to balance multiple tasks and sophisticated projects concurrently, able to analyse and solve problems, propose solutions and be adaptable to change
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written

You might also have...

  • Experience of SOX and other regulatory requirements required for a publicly traded company
  • Expertise in working with a broad range of technologies and frameworks including on-prem, cloud and hybrid models
  • Experience integrating with SaaS based ERP systems and accounting platforms (Tipalti, Revstream, Microsoft AX, Workday) and data integration platforms (SSIS, Informatica)
  • Knowledge in additional tools such as JIRA, Smartsheet, Slack, Confluence, GitHub, Zoom, Share Point
