Then come and join our global team as Research Scientist (f/m/d) In-vitro diagnostics to diagnostics to drive research and development in the field of in-vitro diagnostics.

Choose the best place for your work – Within this position it is possible to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working time in coordination with your manager.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for managing complex projects as well as presenting project results in international team meetings.
  • You work independently with immunological, molecular biological as well as protein chemical methods
  • You develop, test and optimize diagnostic assays for use on automated analyzers
  • You plan tests, evaluate test results and are responsible for the protocol
  • You will be responsible for summarizing the results and will be a key contributor to scientific publications and conference proceedings
  • If required, you will take on special tasks, e.g. as equipment supervisor or safety officer
  • This position requires the willingness to work with blood samples and occasional handling of infectious material (safety level S3 according to Infection Protection Act)

Your qualifications and experience:

  • You have a degree in the natural sciences in the field of molecular medicine, (molecular) biology, biochemistry, biochemical technology or a comparable discipline
  • You have many years of professional experience in the field of molecular biology, immunology and protein chemistry and have been able to acquire profound methodological knowledge in the process
  • Alternatively, you have a doctorate in combination with several years of professional experience in this field
  • You have excellent skills in managing and conducting research and development projects and have experience in submitting grant proposals and obtaining external funding
  • You have extensive knowledge in DNA/ RNA isolation, protein purification and protein conjugation
  • You are very interested in process automation as well as diagnostic assay development and ideally have professional experience in this field
  • You have very profound knowledge in statistical analysis of experimental results (e.g. with R, Excel)

Your attributes and skills:

  • You are business fluent in English and present confidently in front of international audiences. Additional German language skills are of great advantage
  • Teamwork is a top priority for you and you always contribute with your conscientious way of working
  • Depending on your experience and qualifications, an increase of your tasks to a higher pay scale is possible
