Responsibilities

Applies the knowledge and skill necessary to implement age appropriate play and activity programs that provide normalization, facilitate adjustment and meet the emotional and developmental needs of hospitalized children and families.

Requirements

Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in child development, education, or a related field; other combination of education and experience that would provide similar competency may be considered
- Paid experience working with children, preferably in a hospital setting
- Experience in planning and carrying out activities for individual children and groups of children
Required Credentials:
- N/A
Preferred:
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, school-age children and adolescents in a therapeutic setting
