Position Summary

This position is within the company’s Enterprise Cybersecurity and Risk organization. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Direct global Data Resiliency strategy, planning, and initiatives designed to ensure quick recovery and continued operations when there has been a natural disaster, equipment failure, power outage, malicious attack, negligent activity, or other disruption in ELC information technology systems.

Perform functions that include:

  • Lead and collaborate on due diligence and planning for Disaster Recovery activities.
  • Provide guidance and support in the setup and implementation of Disaster Recovery solutions.
  • Coordinate reporting and metrics to ensure Disaster Recovery activities are managed optimally.
  • Track the progress of Disaster Recovery projects and implementations.
  • Track progress of the Data Resiliency Program against established multi-year plan.
  • Oversee the Data Resilience Manager and staff in all Disaster Recovery-related activities.
  • Perform an architectural diagnostic to determine the best architecture solution for ELC taking into consideration cost, coverage, time, and vendor offerings. Frame architectural guidelines to ensure the inclusion of Disaster Recovery solutions into all future projects.
  • Develop communications strategy and guidelines for the Information Security Disaster Recovery Standards that include periodic management and operational reporting. Develop and publicize a prioritized testing schedule and training and awareness program.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of multiple Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery solutions across different applications and regions. Coordinate strategic initiatives to improve the overall Data Resiliency Program.
  • Perform functional decision-making responsibilities, such as making practical decisions related to Disaster Recovery solution development, planning, and testing. Identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures.
  • Understand the ELC technology landscape and provide recommendations for the implementation of Disaster Recovery solutions.
  • Operate within defined processes to make and be accountable for decisions requiring independent judgment and knowledge of Disaster Recovery requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of cost implications of Disaster Recovery projects. Oversee budgets and manage cost implications of data resiliency activities, projects, and initiatives.
  • Direct the development of training, education, and communication materials for data resiliency initiatives and processes.

Qualifications
  • In-depth understanding of and experience managing Disaster Recovery / IT Continuity methodologies, concepts, tools, and objectives.
  • Thorough understanding of Data Center / IT infrastructure which supports application technologies and potential Disaster Recovery solutions. Familiarity with leading practices related to Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity.
  • Knowledge and interest in technology including topics such as operating systems, mobile technologies, software development, networking, and business applications.
  • Broad understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strong communication skills, influence/negotiation skills, attention to detail, conflict management experience, analytical skills, and measurement/visualization ideas.
  • Ability to problem-solve, think creatively, challenge the status quo, and manage ambiguity.
  • Ability to communicate complicated or technical information to executives, including proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience handling, securing, and communicating highly confidential and sensitive information.

Minimum Education: Undergraduate degree in technology or equivalent professional experience

Minimum Years of Experience: 10

Licenses or Certifications: CBCI / CBCP or equivalent desirable
