Job Description

Eaton’s Commercial and Residential Distribution Solutions (CRDS) Division is currently seeking an Operations Manager- Flex Center to join our team! This position is based at our Lincoln, IL facility. Relocation assistance will be provided.

Position Overview:

This position is based in Lincoln, IL at our union manufacturing location with 830 employees where we produce circuit breakers, steal enclosures, metering and other residential, commercial and industrial products.

The Operations Manager reports through division marketing and manages the Flex Center Team at the Lincoln facility as a business committed to modifying and building non-standard loadcenters, metering, and other similar residential / light commercial custom assemblies. The Flex Center manufactures low volume, high mix, stock and non-stock catalog numbers with positive price realization for value added services. The Operations Manager is a part of the Lincoln Plant Leadership Team and participates in strategic and annual planning, toward the goal of growing the Flex Center business and continual improvement in operations. The manager will collect and react to Voice of Customer to create product line extensions and set direction on strategic new product development opportunities.

In this function you will:

  • Manage a cross functional team to procure and ship orders of non-standard products with a focus on above average profit realization.
  • Develop/implement marketing growth plans and programs.
  • Create/implement strategic plans, product roadmaps and profit plans.
  • Promote the capabilities of the Flex Center and improve the ease of doing business for our customers.
  • Drive product development programs through the PROLaunch process as needed to provide infrastructure necessary for growth opportunities.
  • Achieve aggressive financial growth year over year.
  • Support the Lincoln Plant Leadership team in developing and promoting Safety, Quality and Operational Excellence processes for the plant.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Sales, Engineering, Product Management or Operations
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration from an accredited institution
  • 5+ years of multi-functional experience
  • Project management experience

Position Criteria:

  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Product knowledge for Residential Electrical Distribution
  • Ability to work effectively in team environment and independently
