Job Description

As a Key Account Manager, you are responsible for the operational management of Key Accounts and supporting of customer specific strategies to maximise new and increased activities and promotions . You will be a consistent representation of Bosch values and brand attributes with all stakeholders and develop and foster cross-functional relationships at all levels of the customer (buying, marketing, operations, logistics, quality, etc) to ensure consistent positive relationships.

You will be responsible for the development of customer specific strategies (including product range, price positioning, relationship marketing, promotions, training of key account customer’s staff) for allocated Key Accounts to ensure achievement of set quantitative and qualitative KPIs.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Business development with the Key Accounts (sales targets, Bosch share of the customer’s category turnover, content excellence, both image and text, search engine optimisation, click-through monitoring for improvements etc..)
  • Budgeting, sales forecasting, stock management and EBIT where available
  • Management and control of User Experience, Customer Rebates and Sales Allowances
  • Establish annually and review quarterly, Key Account strategy plans containing, but not limited to; Key Account potential analysis, business plan, structure of decision making unit, product listings, new opportunities and competition within assigned Key Accounts.
  • Demonstrate leadership, proactively participate in management meetings and decisions, ensuring timely and effective communication to the business.
  • Ensure timely communication and forecasting of monthly business development and product forecasting, both core range and promotional through management of customer activity planning process.
  • Management of Annual Trading Terms process and leading customer negotiations within the pre-defined parameters and timeline.
  • Conduct monthly review meetings with each Key Account, plan assess and report monthly on business performance and identify opportunities and corrective actions as necessary.
  • Acquire and maintain a high level of market, industry, competitor and product knowledge and ensure relevant market information is communicated to sales and marketing teams.
  • Manage, coordinate, communicate customer specific pricing, core product range, the entire process of promotional submissions, product positioning, video’s, images and sales marketing budget to ensure correct delivery, maximise return on investment, range listings and profitable growth for each Key Account.
  • Develop strong customer relationships & proactively communicate with Buyers, Marketing and Category Managers, to ensure excellent service in terms speed of response and follow up, technical information, business updates and consultative business advice.

Qualifications

What distinguishes you:

  • Entrepreneurial, focused and energetic Key Account Manager able to demonstrate delivery of profitable sales revenues in a similar or related industry
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the market place, competition, and Bosch and have the ability to sell the portfolio of Bosch products and services to his/her customer base.
  • Have a strong sense of self-belief, but respect and use the talents of his/her colleagues.
  • Act as a role model for all Bosch policies and agreed team ground rules.
  • Display, at all times, a customer oriented, service provider attitude and be a positive ambassador for the company.
  • Take ownership of customer queries.
  • Think partnerships. Work collaboratively with both internal and external customers.
  • Understand the goals and operating targets of the Division and the way in which they contribute towards the success.
  • Engage in the process of improving our business processes by contributing ideas and suggestions.
  • Communicate proactively and effectively at all levels, both externally and internally.

  • Use an appropriate range of learning tools to develop their own capabilities.

Essential

  • Full UK driving license and flexibility to travel
