Job Description

GBS Finance – North America records and reports on real estate transactions for over 2,000 franchisees and more than 15,000 restaurants in the U.S. and Canada. We are responsible for the calculation and billing of rents and service fees to franchisees and tenants, all lease related and real estate tax payment and accounting activities, and construction project and fixed asset accounting processes.

This position within the GBS US Lease Expense Team offers a tremendous opportunity for an individual to gain a broad understanding of the various functions and inputs within McDonald’s leasing transactions as well as an exposure to McDonald’s Global business environment. The position is responsible for maintaining McDonald’s leased sites for designated field offices.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Maintaining lease locations and the associated accounting analysis for those locations
• Processing month-end close
• Proactively identifying and implementing efficiencies within the cam reconciliation process
• Assisting with various ad-hoc requests and special projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
• 1+ years of Accounting / Finance experience, with thorough knowledge of basic accounting principles, is required
• Strong digital literacy, including Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge and proficiency with TRIRIGA and Oracle are preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement approach to enhance processes and improve productivity
• Strong people and relationship building / networking skills
• Ability to express and present ideas successfully (both verbally and in writing)
