Job Description

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Production Manager, this position is responsible for manually and automatically painting produced parts using the powder coating paint system based at our Airdrie, AB facility.

In this function you will:

  • Mark orders as started or completed on DMM.
  • Hang, paint and offload all parts required for production, including parts being supplied to other Eaton facilities.
  • Perform daily chemical testing, environmental tank cleaning and chemical handling as required.
  • Operate the burn off oven system.
  • Standard maintenance and ongoing equipment quality inspections.
  • Inspect finished products.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years’ experience working on an industrial paint line.
  • Ability to cross train and continuously learn.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with machines.
  • Ability to recognize quality issues and make judgements.

Position Criteria:

  • Lifting and occasional heavy lifting/maneuvering up to 50 lbs with assistance or using lifting device.
  • Continuous standing, reaching.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain a positive commitment to the safety of self and others.
  • Strong analytical aptitude and complex problem-solving skills.
