Our project management, engineering, sales, and technical purchasing teams are located in our Plymouth, MI office fully supporting regional customers and providing local support for global projects. The production facilities in Florence, KY and Queretaro, MX manufacture and deliver products for the North American region.
Job Description
- Ensure project objectives are met per given parameters, including timing, specification, profit, cost, and budget
- Ensure clean launch of project based on customer and Bosch processes, requirements, and expectations
- Ensure customer sample requirements are met including on-time delivery, technical content, and part maturity
- Lead the project core team, including assigning responsibility for the different functional areas and holding the team accountable to achieve project deliverables and deadlines
- Support evaluation of project core team member performance
- Primary interface to the customer on project activities and deliverables, including technical issues
- Identify project risk items, and lead effort for mitigation/resolution including escalation as needed
- Develop program timelines and activity reports to drive the on-time completion of critical tasks.
- Responsible for organizing, leading and tracking activities for implementation of engineering changes within the project
- Coordinate and report status of internal project deliverables (Project Reviews, PER, CPR, etc.) using Bosch tools.
- Review timing plans, change requests, specifications, drawings, requirements, etc. to evaluate impact against initial project premises & coordinate change points with applicable stakeholders.
- Create internal sample orders for products & services.
- Manage / communicate internally customer program data for forecast / planning activities.
- Manage data in customer portals and project folders.
- Plan and manage project resources in Bosch cost management database
- Expected travel up to 25% of the time including some international travel.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Engineering
- 3+ years automotive project management experience / customer interface
Preferred
- Combination of technical ability and commercial skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of and/or proficiency with Project management processes and tools (team structure, schedule formats, progress reports, financial reports, presentations, forecasting & tracking tools)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Outlook software
- Experience working/ integrating in project teams
- Experience working with automotive OEM’s
