Job Summary

Responsible for the overall purchasing and planning of critical materials, equipment and services, typically focusing on a specific commodity or product line. Studies market trends, evaluates suppliers for reliability and complies with company standards. Develops new and "best in class" supply sources at the lowest cost while being consistent with considerations of quality and reliability. Coordinates all purchasing activities ensuring inventory is maintained at planned levels. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience.

Core Responsibilities

As a key member of the Comcast Enterprise Procurement team, you will be responsible to support implementation of procurement policies, best practices and drive compliance, contribute to professional services category management, support strategic procurement operations and perform service management to ensure value delivery from the offshore center, lead stakeholder and supplier relationship and coordinate the innovation efforts, which might involve third party service providers.

The responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to Category management (Professional Services)
    • Support Procurement Managers/ Directors with deal and contract execution – collects stakeholder input and conduct deal analysis
    • Supports development of procurement strategy and spend management tactics by providing detailed support and spend analytics
    • Works with business stakeholders across multiple territories/ Business Units to support procurement strategy development – understanding of business unit needs, the supply market, spend baseline and evolution, and benchmarking
    • Build and manage business stakeholder and supplier relationships – interact with key business stakeholders and suppliers to address business needs, supplier issues and continuous improvement opportunities
    • Facilitate resolution of escalations – co-ordinate and lead issue resolution/ problem solving and escalate as required to address identified gaps
    • Collate information/ data from multiple sources, draft proposal, review with stakeholder and cross-functional teams for alignment and approval
    • Translate business needs into sourcing documents such as RFI’s, RFP’s, RFQ’s or SOW’s
    • Ensure end to end – sourcing/ strategic procurement process, procurement best practices, deal approval process are compliant
  • Support Statement of Work (SOW) reviews
    • Plan, track and manage Statement of work (SOW) reviews across professional services categories (Technology and Consulting services)
    • Support mid-year and year-end SOW renewals with BU, Legal, Supplier and Finance Business Operations teams
    • Support SOW change orders
    • Support commercial and contract negotiations
    • Manage consulting intake approval process
    • Lead daily scrum call with entire enterprise professional services procurement team to review & track SOW status
  • Support Master Service Agreement (MSA) / Master Consulting Agreement (MCA) execution
    • Support MSA execution for the new technology & consulting deals
    • Support commercial and contract negotiations
  • Support Request for Proposal (RFP) process
    • Support end to end RFP process
    • Conduct RFP data analysis to identify RFP outcome and cost saving opportunities – develop a matrix of negotiation scenarios.
  • Support Reporting and Analytics
    • Support market intelligence towards technology and consulting service landscape
    • Spend and savings analytics and reporting
    • Supplier performance reporting
    • SOW reporting
    • Consulting intake approval reporting
  • General
    • Support implementation of procurement policies to minimize operational and financial risk
    • Challenge existing practices and lead projects to execute improvement to standardize and streamline processes
    • Support strategic procurement operations on global delivery model basis (Beeline, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, Salesforce)
    • Other relevant duties as assigned

Employees at all levels are expected to:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business or Supply Chain Management or Information Systems or Technology or Engineering or equivalent education
  • 6-8 years of strategic procurement experience in professional services category (Outsourcing Services) with large telecom or technology or media company, including a deep understanding of the best practices and appreciation of various technology domains like technology & consulting services
  • Understanding of the global outsourcing landscape and the players in this space
  • Strong background, experience, and knowledge in Contract management (MSA & SOW), Commercial and contract negotiations, sourcing and RFP process, stakeholder and supplier relationship management
  • Experience is supplier due diligence
  • Experience in market research and analytics
  • Experience in spend analytics
  • Demonstrated exceptional quantitative and data analysis skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills,
  • Excellent escalation management skills
  • Excellent work ethic, team player, led smaller projects
  • Must be a self-starter and multi-tasker with superior time management skills
  • Excellent English verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively to stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Presentation experience in which have successfully conveyed an idea or decision to key stakeholders
  • Ability to work cross-entity, cross-geography enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Experience working in global delivery model/ environments
  • Worked in a matrix organization and have built constructive and effective relationships
  • Ability to support Eastern Standard Time Zone (USA) meeting/ calls as needed

Education

Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
