Job Description
Aveda, America’s premier creator and marketer of plant-based haircare, skincare, make-up, PureFumeTM and lifestyle products seeks a pre-weigh Compounder.

- Dispense by weighing, filling and labeling individual Raw Materials or Mass as required and directed by the RDS Pre-Weigh system prompting and according to GMP procedures.
- Raw Material Breakdown. Transferring raw materials from large containers to smaller containers based on low volumes. This process is executed according to GMP compliant procedures.
- Raw Material Content Re-Weighing. The re-weighing of Raw Material Source containers before the source container is placed back in warehouse inventory. This process is executed to ensure proper weights for system/inventory accuracy.
- Retrieve and Store all chemicals, mass and general supplies as required in the R&D Warehouse.
- Perform container breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate storage locations for all chemical, mass and supply inventory.
- Additional tasks, as assigned.
Qualifications - Excellent computer skills required with a proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SAP.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; must be able to communicate with members of the organization at all levels.
- Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and possess strong time-management skills. Must possess the ability to focus on executing priorities as directed by management.
- Must possess strong organizational skills with an emphasis on detail and adherence to procedure.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environment.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
- High School graduate or equivalent required, higher education preferred.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Individual will be required to continually lift and transfer 5-to-30-gallon containers weighing 20kg to 120 / 150 kg.
- Must be able to handle 55gal / 200kg drum.
- Individual must be very detailed oriented.
- Individual must be able to work well with others.
- Must be able to use all machines/instruments listed above in a safe and proficient manner.
- Must maintain an excellent attendance and safety record.
- Individual will be required to learn and adhere to GMP Compliance requirements.
