We have an immediate need for a BMC Control-M enterprise platform support specialist, specifically administration of the product on Linux OS to include the hardware, software, filesystems, lifecycle maintenance, and user administration. This is a complex environment, workload management and automation software supporting nodes in the cloud, IBM z/OS mainframe LPARs, and x86 servers. Familiarity with IBM Omegamon XE (TEPS) and IBM Systems Automation a plus.

In this role, you will deploy and maintain BMC Control-M/EM upgrades, configure effective platform monitoring, and maintain the needed infrastructure. Deploy and maintain automation pipelines across multiple environments. You will support and work alongside a cross-functional engineering teams on the latest technologies. You will work with developers and the IT staff to oversee code releases and application updates, combining an understanding of both engineering and coding. From creating automation and maintaining application software to analyzing data to improve existing ones, this role increases productivity in the workplace.

To thrive in this development career, you'll need to have experience working with Control-M in an Administrator role. You will have experience with JCL, REXX , Git and Linux. Any development experience in Java, Python, or Javascript, along with popular JS libraries such as React PHP is a plus! WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

• You'll start each day with a scrum, working in a team to understand responsibilities, identify issues, and communicate coding priorities while choosing user stories to complete. You will also participate in other agile ceremonies, including scheduled sprint demos, where you will present your work to up to 90 stakeholders.
• Working in three-week sprints, you must keep up with timelines and coding standards. Most of your daily schedule will be software development, but you will also test your code before submitting it to QA for final testing. You won't just focus on development in this role. You will also be responsible for testing and deployment.
• Continuous Learning. You will actively collaborate with other developers to share ideas or show what you've learned. You are eager to learn, keep up with ever-changing technologies, and maintain the ability to create the best tools for our clients.
• Support & Problem-Solving. You may work on products currently in use. If so, you might act as a point of contact for one day/week, supporting your clients for any urgent issues that require resolution. You'll start those days with your regular work activity but will have to switch gears to a support role as needed throughout your assigned support day.
• You have a 5+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

• You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent.
• Experience in a Control-M in an Administrator role
• Experience with JCL, REXX , Git and Linux
• Development experience in Java, Python, or Javascript, along with popular JS libraries such as React PHP is a plus!

The targeted base salary range for this role is listed in the compensation section below. Actual salary may be above or below this range based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. In addition, this position may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions.

Compensation for US Nevada residents: $69,600 - $153,200
