Location : We are a remote-first company. This role can be based anywhere in the US.

The Opportunity : The Staff DevOps Platform Engineer will play a vital role transforming the value proposition of DevOps culture through a Platform mentality and acts a thought champion in the delivery of secure, scalable services and products. The DevOps Platform Engineer will help shape the overall DevOps culture that enables the success of all software engineers at Mosaic through modern Platform Engineering. The successful candidate is proficient using the latest DevSecOps tools and technologies to automate solutions and optimize outcomes, implementing continuous integration and deployment in an exciting and fast paced environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Reporting into Sr. Director of DevOps, this seasoned DevOps Platform Engineer will shape the future of DevOps and/or Internal Developer Platforms at Mosaic
  • Be a significant individual contributor in the development of our standardized CI/CD processes and DevOps tooling
  • You will be in a position to affect positive change through thought leadership, and through a hands-on role, enhancing your toolbox of skills in areas such as Cloud Architecture, Design, CI/CD and Automation.
  • Design, develop and operationalize new processes such as on demand environment provisioning including delivery of products to public cloud with an Infrastructure as Code approach as part of the overall CI/CD solution
  • Support the building/implementation of solutions for version control, continuous integration, continuous delivery, continuous deployments, continuous monitoring, artifact management and release management.
  • Perform highly specialized and technical tasks associated with the most current and cutting-edge DevOps tools and best practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication/interpersonal skills
  • Serve as technical expert on high visibility project teams providing DevSecOps technical direction, interpretation and alternatives

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience with modern CI/CD tooling (GitLab CI, CircleCI. TeamCity, Jenkins etc)
  • At least 5 years of experience with version control software (Git, GitLab,GitHub etc)
  • Prior experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker and Kubernetes)
  • Solid familiarity with Cloud deployment workflows and cloud IaaS providers (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • A get-things-done attitude and track record of success
  • Prior software development experience is mandatory
  • An automation mindset with proficiency in scripting and or/object oriented languages (Java, Go, Python, YAML, Bash etc) to make it happen

Preferred Requirements:

  • Public cloud experience using Azure, AWS or GCP
  • Experience with Observability tools like AppDynamics / Splunk / ELK / New Relic / Instance etc
  • Experience with Java or any other Object Oriented programming languages
