Software Automation Test Engineer

The Challenge:

When a user tries new software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful software development – and that means rigorous testing. That’s why we need you, an experienced test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible.

As a test engineer on our team, you’ll work with other testers, developers, engineers, and stakeholders as part of a team evaluating software developed for National Defense. You’ll help build a test plan with test cases based on user stories. You’ll automate continuous security and performance testing and execute the test cases to see how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the system. You’ll automate continuous security and performance testing and monitor health of software messaging systems. This is an opportunity to shape your skills by writing the code to test the code. You’ll also build experience in applying DevSecOps for large-scale cloud deployments learn about areas such as cloud computing from your team. Work with us as we develop software solutions to help our customers share critical data for the nation's defense. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

You Have:

• Experience with automation testing
• Knowledge of DevSecOps and automation tools, including Selenium and Cucumber
• Ability to work on a scrum team using Agile practices
• HS diploma or GED
• Secret clearance

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with DoD software systems and networks
• Experience with Agile or the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• Bachelor’s degree

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
