What is the opportunity?

Want to be part of a great team, which is managing a mainframe reporting platform, used by different LOBs. RBC development teams build all interfaces between data source systems and downstream applications. We are looking for a talented, energetic and passionate team-player to join the Client Portfolio Reporting Development Team as a Mainframe Developer.

What will you do?

• Design new application features and integrations in collaboration with team members to deliver complex changes
• Develop new software, coding and unit testing, as well as modifying existing software for enhancements, performance improvements, bug fixes
• Lead and drive all activities to integrate real and near-real time capabilities between new core products and other applications
• Automate processes within the development pipeline
• Stay current with trends, techniques, technology, advocate and share expertise with other team members and other factors impacting the job

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have, minimum 3-5 years of experience

• COBOL 4.2
• VSAM
• Endevor, GitHub
• TSO, JCL, IDCAMS, ZEKE, DFSORT, IBM Advanced Function Presentation (AFP), IBM Connect Direct
• List other utilities and tools in use IBM File-Manager , DevOps Mainframe, ServiceNow, IBM OnDemand, Pervasive Data Encryption, IBM Personal Communication
• Minimum three-five years practical experience with large enterprise application development. (Wealth Management applications preferred)
• Proficient with SQL, working with one of the large relational databases (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server)

Nice-to-have

• Any business specific knowledge Client Statements Reporting, Wealth Management
• Experience on Client Facing Reports by using Oracle Reports, BI Publisher, Oracle PL/SQL, Webfocus, OBIEE or any other reporting platform.
• Any logging, alerting, automation, tools etc.
• Universal Command
• RBC RBDM/Network Gateway
• REXX
