Job Description

• Responsible for software development on North American passive safety projects within organization.
• First point of contact for all software relevant topics in customer project(s).
• Perform requirement analysis with respect to customer requirement and prepare requirement baseline in DOORS for software development.
• Ensure software development, validation, and delivery are according to Bosch guidelines and processes (e.g. ISO26262, ASPICE)
• Responsible for feature development like CAN, Diagnostics, EDR, Security on vehicle related to passive safety systems.
• Coordinate with internal Bosch stakeholders in different regions for software related development activities for complete project release.
• Responsible for evaluating/updating customer specifications including support of translating the system requirements into Rational DOORS, evaluating requirement and test coverage, and tracking of software activities / defects
• Train/mentor fellow associates, interns, and co-ops
• Support CIP (Continuous Improvement Process) to optimize development processes and day-to-day activities

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer engineering, Mechanical engineering, or Software Engineering
• 2 or more years of experience in software development with embedded C/C++ programming in automotive domain
• 1 or more years of experience with vehicle networking and diagnostics, hands-on experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle passive safety system development
• Ability to structure, moderate, promote collaboration with international teams, negotiate with customer, support global organization, and have good understanding with working in global multicultural projects.
• 1 or more years of experience with vehicle and system test and release procedures in automotive
• 1 or more years of experience in systems / requirements engineering
• Strong software engineering experience embedded Software development
• Good written / verbal communication and presentation skills to discuss issues / solutions with team and external customer
• Customer oriented mindset
• Good English skills verbal / written (additional languages encouraged)
