In this role, you will be joining a lean, fast growing, team of talented engineers and technical product managers shaping the future of Bosch Thermotechnology North America Cloud, IoT and Software Applications.

Job Description

Using agile methodologies, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams engaging in the design and implementation of cloud-based mobile applications. You will be a primary contributor to the development, testing, and deployment of mobile applications visualizing IoT data streams ensuring quality, reliability, usability, and performance of deliverables. You will also be expected to advocate best practices throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure quality, scalability and delivery excellence.

We are looking for an eager candidate interested in being the third key software engineer hire for the growing IoT engineering group at TTNA. Working closely with IoT group leadership, you will play a major role in shaping the cloud and mobile application development for Bosch Thermotechnology’s products in the North American market.

Specific Responsibilities:

Work as part of a cross-functional agile team to launch innovative smart home (IoT) products for the North America region
Develop new components for Bosch’s EasyAir App and implement high-fidelity wireframes using React Native
Collaboratively expand and refactor existing React Native applications using quantitative customer usage data and feedback from customers
Thoroughly test, troubleshoot and support mobile applications visualizing data from our suite of connected products.
Collaborate with product management to research, scope, and test new technologies to improve our customer journey and user experience
Analyze customer behavior on mobile applications and IoT data to drive actionable product improvement decisions.
Identify feature improvement opportunities (proactive and reactive) from AWS X-Ray logs, user stories, ticket backlogs, requirements documents, etc.
Participate in sprint planning sessions, daily standups, demo days and sprint reviews.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with mobile application software development using React Native.
  • 1+ years of experience with one of the following source code repository tools (Git, Bitbucket, AWS CodeCommit)
  • 1+ years of experience with RESTful APIs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other AWS services like Amplify, API Gateway, Lambda, S3 and DynamoDB
  • Experience working with enterprise-scale cloud, DevOps automation frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to contribute effectively as a member of a team and work cohesively as a part of a team.
  • Possess a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize duties and efficiently complete responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated time-management skills to complete assignments while meeting critical deadlines.
