Location Details:

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This position may be a hybrid or fully remote position, as decided by your manager. If designated as hybrid, you’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office location, so you should live within commuting distance. If designated as remote, you’ll be working remotely from your home and may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or offsites. Your hiring manager can share more about this role’s hybrid or remote designation.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

GoDaddy is looking for an engineering manager to join our Synthesis & Config team. The team is responsible for building & maintaining a personalization system that integrates curated content with experimentation, machine learning, and customer lifecycle data. Engineers across GoDaddy's product teams use the platform every day to help our small business customers start, grow and run their ventures. What you'll get to do...

• Lead a team of high-performing engineers by providing both career mentorship and technical vision for the product.
• Drive design and development of distributed platform that enables next generation customer experiences.
• Perform code reviews and participate in suggesting and supporting coding best practices.
• Participate in devops, release, and on-call activities in support of the platform.
• Write, edit and improve technical documentation.
• Engage with partners & stakeholders across GoDaddy to solve problems with broad impact.
• Help to build and maintain high-performance data aggregation and processing systems that span multiple sources.
• Contribute to Open Source projects related to the tech stack and domain of our products.

Your experience should include...

• You have experience working with highly agile development teams.
• You have experience working with cloud-native architectures.
• You have experience with creating performant RESTful APIs to power web applications. Experience with technologies such as AWS Lambda, GraphQL, and DynamoDB a plus.
• You have experience leading a team of engineers, either as a people manager or technical/project lead
• You have experience working with modern front-end technologies such as React and Next.js.
• You have a strong understanding of git and git-based workflows.
• You have experience with Devops and understand what deployment means using systems like docker, AWS and/or Kubernetes.
