Verisk Extreme Event Solutions is seeking an experienced, passionate and ambitious individual to lead client engagements in our Consulting and Client Services group (CCSG). This role will have particular focus on non-insurance clients including governmental and non-governmental entities, banking, mortgage and corporations. The mission of the CCSG team is to drive value for clients through expert application of our modeling platforms, technical tools and consulting services.

Hiring is targeted at the manager level, but a senior manager role will be considered for more experienced applicants. While initially serving as a senior individual contributor, the role may also evolve to include people management responsibilities and one or more direct reports.

Main Responsibilities:

· Support business development efforts for new projects, lead technical and scoping discussions with a focus on growth opportunities with non-insurance clients.

· Lead client engagements using Verisk’s analytical tools and data. Working individually or as part of team, develop and execute project tasks and manage timelines and resource requirements.

· Collaborate with Verisk teams to meet project needs, adapting data and workflows to achieve the unique goals of non-insurance clients. Provide input to technical teams regarding new and evolving product requirements based on client feedback and your internal usage of our products.

· Deliver technical presentations and develop technical reports, coordinating across product and technical teams, sales and marketing, and other Verisk entities as required.

· Represent Verisk in a range of forums including internal and external conferences, industry events and client meetings.

Qualifications

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including project and relationship management

· Ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences

· Ability to manage and coach a team

· Data analysis and programming experience (SQL, R, others)

· Knowledge of catastrophe modeling tools, data and workflows

· Actuarial training or underwriting experience and familiarity with ESG and climate change analytics in a business context are a plus

Requirements:

· Minimum 7 years of experience in a technical or consulting capacity related to natural hazards assessment, catastrophe modeling or enterprise risk management. Demonstrated experience in a client-facing activities is required.

· BS/BA required, advanced degree preferred. Degrees in economics, science, finance, engineering, or mathematics preferred. Candidates with related degrees and quantitative experience or coursework in mathematics, actuarial science, business or computer science will be considered.
