We’re looking for a talented Data Scientist to come aboard the Streamlit Data Science team. In this role, you will work closely with our Product and Engineering teams to uncover insights about how customers use Streamlit and Snowflake, helping to inform Product’s decision making and focus Engineering efforts. You will also work on long-running analytical initiatives marked by greater complexity and less structure that will yield substantial product enhancements. This is a strategic, high-impact role that will help shape the future of Snowflake products and services.

AS A DATA SCIENTIST ON THE STREAMLIT TEAM YOU WILL :

  • Use data to find opportunities and drive optimization for product development, marketing techniques and business strategies
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques and drive implementation
  • Develop custom data models and algorithms to optimize the product experience
  • Develop an A/B testing framework we can use for various company experiments
  • Coordinate with the engineering team to implement models and monitor outcomes
  • Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior hands-on experience with Streamlit is a must. This team does a large part of our data analysis and presentation in Streamlit
  • 3+ years of experience in a data or statistics role
  • Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development
  • Experience using Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
  • Hands-on experience with data management services like: Redshift, S3, BigQuery, etc.
  • Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
