Job Description
PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE:
To develop, direct and execute all global marketing plans for limited edition programming to drive recruitment and win during high-traffic, strategic Key Shopping Moments (e.g., D11, Lunar New Year) for the Bobbi Brown brand. Act as primary lead for all aspects of program development, from concept to final program delivery. Partner closely with cross-functional teams to drive programs to completion, on time and on budget. Passionate interest in Beauty trends (as specific to color makeup and trend) to assist in successful programming.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
In partnership with the Director of Color & Trend, propose and help develop concepts for color collections, collaborations, and limited-edition products that support Key Shopping Moments:
- Screen ideas, prepare and present documents related to the launch planning process, including concept and program briefs, cost objectives, and side-by-side calendars to gain final brand management approval on new product and project performance.
- Work with International Marketing and Regional contacts to ensure product mixes are optimized to meet the needs of all regions and distribution channels.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal cross-functional teams and support groups as a collaborative and flexible team player:
- Work closely with, and serve as daily contact for, all cross-functional groups, including PD, Package Design, GBSC and Creative to ideate program details, and ensure the timely development of all calendarized programs.
- Provide support for recurring meetings between Marketing, Product Development, Package Development, Package Design, and GBSC to track status of all open programs.
- Lead the collaboration between Strategic Finance, Packaging, Global Business Planning and Product Development during program development to preserve and improve Cost of Goods for all programs.
Own responsibility for issuance of required execution elements according to NPL timelines:
- Prepare and manage all necessary paperwork: PPD Notes, Packaging Briefs, Program Briefs, Cost Objectives, Bulletins, 360 Asset Creation (Creative Briefs, Asset Checklist, Go To Market Decks), and copy requests.
- Serve as a liaison between CE, Packaging, Product Development and Creative to ensure the timely delivery of product and supporting materials for seasonal photo shoots. Maintain Color product closet.
Manage collateral development to support key gifting moments (e.g., gift boxes, tissue paper, cosmetic bags, and accessories):
- Prepare materials for presentation of marketing plans to affiliates and retailers (e.g., Global and Regional Roundtables).
- Consistently monitor the performance of each collection.
- Lead and conduct post-mortem and competitive analysis on relevant categories, noting industry trends, Bobbi Brown performance vs. competition, and product opportunities.
- Work closely with regional managers to solicit feedback on past performance of programs and synthesize data to positively impact development of future programs.
Apply knowledge of key market trends, provide recommendations on how those can be applied to mix development:
- Ad Hoc Marketing department responsibilities as needed
- Lead by example to create an environment that is encouraging, respectful, and builds team cooperation.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
- 4-5 years of related Marketing experience. Full-time or internship experience within the beauty, CPG or retail industries strongly preferred; a demonstrable interest in the beauty industry is a must.
- Undergraduate degree.
- Proficiency in industry competitive databases, including NPD Decision Key, Beaute and Euromonitor strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in ELC systems, including GMW, Brand Innovation Portal, TeamCenter, Global Pricing System and Anaqua preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong project management skills and follow-through on small details.
- Ability and maturity to manage a multitude of projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Balance between analytical and creative thinking.
- Ability to build, foster, and nurture strong relationships and gain the respect of members of the cross-functional teams.
- Ability to handle frequent change in direction with clarity.
