Scope of the role:

Manage all operations in Germany, including headcount, budgets, business planning and performance reporting. This Head of Operations role requires strong industry-related knowledge and a track record of delivering strong and consistent performance within a large internationally operating (US-based) company.

REPORTS TO: General Manager &SVP Central Europe

Head of Operations responsibilities:

  • Deliver financial results based on the annual business plans
  • Execute on the company strategy and ensuring consistency in implementation
  • Grow ADP market share within Germany, in line with the strategy
  • Lead and develop German direct reporting operation teams
  • Liaise with corporate functions, like HR, Finance and Legal in country
  • Drive and improve client satisfaction and associate engagement
  • Develop and implement tactical plans to improve overall performance
  • Building professional relationships with staff and clients
  • Position and represent ADP internally and externally

Head of Operations Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field (preferably a master's degree)
  • Postgraduate degree in sales, finance or similar is also acceptable
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in leading a German based service operation within an international matrix-based operating company
  • Strong industry knowledge and financial understanding
  • Charismatic leader with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain a strong team culture with high associate engagement
  • Understanding and experience in negotiating with German works councils
  • Excellent German and English (C-Level)
  • High ethical standards and focus on compliance
  • Travel to all ADP DE locations and international as required
