SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE

• Experience working physically and very hands on with Hardware
• Training users on how to appropriately utilize the lab environment
• Writing draft instruction manuals and knowledge based articles for the global lab team
• Testing the systems on a regular basis to ensure quality and function
• Preparing costs and benefits analysis on lab systems
• Continuously evolve lab capabilities and functionality
• Choosing and configuring the hardware and software of a system
• Install and maintain the network, storage, and server environment including all cabling
• Inventory and security management
• Resolve escalated service requests
• Mentor and coach technical support engineers
• Own communications for your issues, ensuring the message is concise and professional
• Documents knowledge via FAQ / KB articles, which can be internal or customer facing
• Champion customer issues internally, and represent the company externally
• This position may involve alternative work hours including nights, weekends, and company holidays including travel to customer sites

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

• 4+ years experience working in a Data Center
• Experience in network storage a plus
• Understanding of network configuration and deployment with Cisco, Arista, etc.
• Strong technical troubleshooting, and fault isolation skills in a multi-platform-system-vendor environment
• Ability to triage issues, and effectively escalate them to appropriate engineering groups as necessary
• Knowledge of various operating systems such as VMware, Solaris, LINUX, and Windows with an emphasis on OS tuning for SAN
• Understanding of networking including Fibre Channel, IP, iSCSI
• Demonstration of subject matter expertise and knowledge in computer/networking
• Development background a plus
• Prior support experience at storage related company is desired
• Excellent people and communication skills both written and verbal
• Great memory skills and ability to multitask, or serialize tasks very rapidly
• Very good organizational skills
• Able to maintain composure in high pressure situations
• Degree or equivalent experience
