Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing - Marketing

Summary:

Responsible for building and executing sourcing strategies by managing and developing end-to-end sourcing operations in alignment with company goals and initiatives with an emphasis to achieve savings goals.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•Facilitates competitive bid processes including requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs), requests for quotes (RFQs), and reverse auctions. (20%)•Identifies strategies to reduce expense through the renegotiation on existing maintenance contracts, early retirement of equipment, leveraging purchasing opportunities, contractor services, etc. •Leads internal project teams through the vendor evaluation and selection process. Leads and manages cross-functional work groups. •Monitors, studies and evaluates commodity market conditions and trends, new technologies, supply chain capacity and capabilities, products customer requirements and supply and demand challenges. •Guides the selection, development and management of strategic suppliers to meet cost and performance goals. •Develops and implements expense management strategies. Activities include: (a) assessing and rationalizing suppliers; (b) negotiating for best total cost of ownership; (c) conducting “make versus buy” analyses; (d) analyzing and making recommendations on vendor-managed inventories, inventory reduction programs, cycle times, supply security and supplier diversity; and (e) making recommendations to improve business processes. •Leads negotiations and coordinates the development contracts with suppliers. •Confers with management and others to provide technical advice and resolve expense problems. Acts as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall policies and/or long-term goals. •Seeks new opportunities, ideas, techniques and materials to drive product innovation with new and existing suppliers. •Provides supervision to assigned staff: includes activities such as hiring, counseling, guiding, training and delivery of disciplinary processes as required. Confers with staff to provide day-to-day guidance and technical advice, and resolve problems.

Minimum qualifications:

•B.S. degree in supply chain management, finance or business administration, •Eight years of relevant sourcing and/or procurement experience, or an equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training.•Strong knowledge of Excel, Access, Word; PowerPoint, Outlook, ERP/ P2P systems.•Strong project management and leadership skills•Strong negotiating skills•Able to collect, analyze and interpret data
