Description:Lockheed Martin is looking for thought leaders to conduct Operations Analysis (OA) for the future of the our Customers and Lockheed Martin’s product strategy. As part of the OA team, you would work with our Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Strategic Studies Group (SSG) regularly to help shape and impact the future of the warfighter. The team requires talented individuals who are passionate about working on cutting-edge design or technology, comfortable with ambiguity, enjoy being part of a team, driven to learn and explore new areas, and willing to think strategically / creatively with proven data analytics & engineering problem-solving skills.
As a member of the OA organization, this candidate will lead study teams and perform work via modeling, simulation and analysis of military systems. These studies/projects quantify the impact of new operational concepts (CONOPS), system design variants, payloads, weapons and tactics, and force size/mix on survivability and mission effectiveness. This leader will also deliver analysis to support requirements definition, concept of operations evaluation, operational and cost effectiveness studies, and military utility assessment.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Formulating analysis and study plans
- Asking critical questions (and iterating) with our Customers/stakeholders
- Researching military systems performance and operations
- Modeling military systems and scenarios in digital environments
- Executing trade studies utilizing constructive engagement and/or mission simulations
- Quantifying Measures-of-Effectiveness (MOEs)
- Analyzing simulation results using Data Analytics to draw meaningful conclusions
- Preparing reports/briefings and presenting analysis trends & conclusions
- Support cross-LM business area constructive digital simulations, virtual reconstructive events, or wargaming activities
The selected candidate will be expected to work without appreciable direction, exercising latitude in determining study objectives and team approaches to execution. This senior analyst will provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate to advanced scope and complexity, be up to date on the latest developments in the subject areas, take initiative to gather and disseminate information and data in the subject areas, and lead analysis activities involving the subject areas. The incumbent will liaison with senior internal and external stakeholders and represent the organization as the primary OA contact for programs, captures, and technology investment planning.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, or other technical degree a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 7 years of professional experience; or 5 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
- Knowledge of military operations, tactics, and organization
- Project management and leadership experience
- Ability to receive and maintain a DoD TS Clearance
- Modeling and Simulation experience (preference for experience with Navy, Army, Air Force standard analysis and modeling tools)

- Experience with working in and leading teams
