Eaton’s Electrical Critical Power & Digital Infrastructure division is currently seeking a Product Sustaining Engineering Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Raleigh, NC facility.

Position Overview:

Eaton’s Electrical Critical Power & Digital Infrastructure Division designs, manufactures, and services Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, batteries, and electronic-based products to ensure power reliability in the most demanding applications. Our employees deliver mission-critical solutions to our customers’ most challenging energy management requirements.

The primary responsibility of the Product Sustaining Engineering Manager is to lead, develop and drive a team in multiple locations within the CPDI engineering work areas to support the build of three phase electronic products and support new product introduction through Certification and Component Engineering support.

Essential Functions:

  • Understand and take ownership of complex product problems and drive them to closure utilizing the team
  • Grow the knowledge and capabilities of the team
  • Understand three phase electronic power systems and the installation/use thereof
  • Communicate upward and downward within the organization in written and verbal forms
  • Communicate to customers (internal and external) in clear concise language on the product problem and how we are going to address it to their satisfaction
  • Out of the box and within the box thinking about processes and designs for three phase electronic power systems and how to improve them
  • Coordinate with various groups within the organization to meet goals and responsibilities
  • Support new product introductions through Agency Certification and Component Engineering efforts
Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience managing direct reports
  • Minimum eight (8) years’ professional engineering work experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Raleigh, NC will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering processes
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented individual
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Collaborative orientation, the ability to succeed in a highly team oriented, global, and diverse environment
