Description:Our Data Engineers are responsible for collecting, processing, managing, and analyzing data to help Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and users develop immersive stories that answer tough business questions. As a member of our team you will work with business stakeholders and data teammates in an Agile team environment analyzing business requirements for data analytics projects supporting multiple functional teams and help source and transform data to make the data come to life. Candidate must develop and use advanced SQL/PQL statements and algorithms, querying and automated processes to evaluate and integrate datasets, complex models and table structure in order to provide the business with analytics solutions. This position is for a Data Engineer Sr to support the Lockheed Martin Secure Software team for LM Aeronautics.
Responsibilities
• Build data pipelines that clean, transform, and aggregate unorganized data into databases or data sources that are ready for analysis
• Write automation scripts to handle repetitive tasks and implement testing to ensure pipeline integrity
• Create and maintain a process for collecting and vetting data sources for data integrity, usability, redundancy, and ensuring reproducibility.
• Design and implement data solutions by defining functional capabilities, security, back-up, and recovery specifications
• Work through all stages of a data solution lifecycle, e.g., analyze / profile data, create conceptual, logical and physical data model designs, architect and design ETL, reporting and analytics
• Maintain data systems performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems; calculating optimum values for parameters; evaluating, integrating, and installing new releases
• Define standards, best practices, and certification processes for data objects
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of data processing and storage
• Write complex queries that can scale to meet requirements
• Verification/validation that data solutions and/or system performance meets requirements
• Document data definitions, dictionaries, and architectures
• Define how data will be collected, what data will be needed, constraints to be considered

Discover Fort Worth.Basic Qualifications:• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (Computer Science, applied math, physics, statistics, Engineering, Data Science, Data Engineering, Software, Embedded Systems)
• Experienced in design or development of enterprise data solutions, applications, and integrations, including Cloud development and data lakes
• Experience with applying modern enterprise data architectures, design patterns, data warehousing, and data toolsets
• Experience with Data modeling - Extraction, Transformation and Load (ETL) tools
• Adept at coding in 2 or more of the following: Python, Java, SQL, Java Script, Hive, Pig
• Strong problem solving, conceptualization, and communication skills
• Strong teamwork mentality, can work collaboratively to develop optimum solutions
Desired Skills:Experience working with relational databases or data analytics experience using SQL
Experience with multiple Data APIs - Database systems (SQL and NO SQL)
Distributed data systems (e.g., Hadoop, HBase, Cassandra, Spark)
Knowledge of various data processing architectural design patterns
Familiarity with multiple data formats: XML, JSON, AVRO, Parquet, Pickle
Experience with applying modern enterprise data architectures, design patterns, data warehousing, and data toolsets
Software engineering experience
Experience with SAP Hana in-memory database
Experience with SAP tool suite (SAP Hana Studio, Business Objects Data Services, Business Objects Web Intelligence)
Software solution development using agile, DevOps, operating in a product model that includes designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications or data engineering solutions
Data Platforms: Teradata, Cassandra, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, ADLS, Snowflake
CI/CD: GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Terraform
