Job Description

Eaton’s IT Division is hiring a SAP FICO Senior Systems Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Dallas, TX, Houston, TX, Beachwood, OH, Moon TWP, PA, Raleigh, NC, Irvine, CA, Galesburg, MI, Atlanta, GA or Chicago, IL. The position is eligible for hybrid work setup.

Position Overview:

Join Eaton’s Information Technology team working in a product centric organization utilizing agile methodologies to help drive our digital transformation. We are currently seeking an SAP FICO Senior Systems Analyst to join our Operating & Enabling Value Chain & Platforms team.

The primary responsibility of the SAP FICO Senior Systems Analyst is to design, model, configure, and implement SAP FICO and related process solutions to meet desired financial business requirements. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing business processes and systems processes in order to deploy solutions using a fit to standard approach, using clean core technologies and agile SAP deployment model and processes. The candidate will participate in SAP implementations and deploy enhancement projects for current SAP ECC and S/4 HANA platforms. Candidate must understand and drive regional solutions and implement controls that are fully auditable and compliant with business and control standards.

In this function you will:

  • Responsible for in-depth functional & business process knowledge of SAP FICO.
  • Work in partnership with divisional and regional financial leadership and business process owners on system requirements, processes, and systems.
  • Manage requirements scope & disposition through process compliance & gap analysis, integration testing & user acceptance methodology.
  • Provide knowledge and input on the system implications of business process changes.
  • Help to identify consolidated, worldwide target processes for SAP FICO.
  • Demonstrate analytical skills to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements.
  • Deliver functional specifications & configuration in line with the agreed and approved design.
  • Develop and implement organizational change management plans related to one's projects.
  • Learn to apply Eaton's project methodology and governance processes to the change control, system development life cycle and regression testing.
  • Work with the SAP FICO global governance team to ensure proposed solutions are in-line global solutions.
  • Participate in business process improvement committees as needed.
  • Interact with senior level leaders at divisional or regional level to explain complex system issues and decision points using common business language (without using IT terms and language).
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation.
  • Support end-to-end processes based on intermediate level understanding of system touch points. Responsible for learning touchpoints in order to integrate Eaton's other key financial platforms into SAP ECC and s/4 HANA including, but not limited to platforms such Getpaid, Quantum, Thomas Reuters, Oracle EPM cloud products (FCCS, ARCS), CoProcess, etc
  • Supports business processes and solutions in the areas of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), Costing (CO), and Tax/Local Statutory Compliance
  • Works as a functional leader to other FICO team members.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in IT
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of a Eaton U.S. facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of SAP full-life cycle, S/4 and ECC deployments.
  • Advance graduate degree from an accredited institution

    • S/4 HANA
    • SAP ECC
